Taking a yoga retreat is an amazing self investment! We want to help you protect your investment. There are no refunds on final balances paid and life and acts of God/Universe do happen! Cancellations are particularly hard when you don’t have any coverage. We require trip insurance on all international retreats to protect you and our company from unforeseen situations. There are many different types of trip insurance. Below is an overview and some tips!

Please do not purchase trip insurance until you have received the official green light confirmation email from Samadhi Retreats. We recognize the day a trip is green lighted as the day the deposit/payments were officially received.


We recommend purchasing trip insurance at You can compare multiple plans and see the different coverage and pricing options. Customer service representatives at can best answer specific questions on plans. We want to make sure you take the time to educate yourself and decide which policy is right for you!


Basic trip insurance covers many important things such as cancellations for covered reasons, medical and trip delays. Depending on your credit card, you may also have trip insurance benefits as part of your cardholder status.


The highest level of protection is achieved by adding “cancel for any reason” or “cancel for work” coverage to your trip insurance. With basic insurance you need to ensure you are cancelling due to one of their qualified reasons (e.g. cancel or interrupt your trip due to an illness, injury, or death of you, a family member, traveling companion or business partner or other covered reasons). With cancel for any reason the insurance company can reimburse ~50-75% of nonrefundable expenses if you cancel your trip for any reason, usually up to 48 hours prior to your departure. That can be a lifesaver! Every policy and plan is different, so be sure to read the fine print.


Please note that Samadhi Retreats will not be held liable for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience that may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside of our control (e.g., late arrival/departure of flights, civil disturbance, fire, flood, cyclones, severe weather, acts of God, and acts of government, machinery or equipment failure). No refunds will be given for cancellations after final balance paid, “no shows” or days not used resulting from the above aforementioned, nor will we refund for late arrivals or premature departures..
